The office

The Carpet

Ryan : What?

Jim : Oh, nothing.

---------------------------------------

Jim : Pam's on vacation. And she gets back tomorrow. So, it'll be nice to see her. It'll be nice. And... She set a date for the wedding with Roy. (결혼식 날짜 잡았어요) June, summer. So, that'll be nice. And that's that.

---------------------------------------

Ryan : What?

Jim : Oh, nothing.

---------------------------------------

Ryan : Jim's been looking at me kind of a lot all week. I would be creeped out by it. (좀 섬뜻하긴 했었지만) But it's nothing compared to the way Michael looks at me.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Spamster.

Pam : Pam, plus Spam, plus...

Micheal : Hamster.

Pam : Right.

Micheal : Welcome back. How was your vacation?

Pam : It was great.

Micheal : Yeah? Did you get lucky? Oop ! Boink.

---------------------------------------

PAM : Roy and I just got back from the Poconos. I get ten vacation days a year. And I try to hold off taking them for as long as possible. (전 가능한 한 사용하지 않으려고 노력해요) And this year I got to the third week in January.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : I am Pam. Spicoli guy. (Spicoli 흉내야) Oh, God. He needs numbers. Okay. Whoa! God! Yuck! Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Pam : What?

Micheal : Yuck! Wow! What happened in there?

Pam : I don't know.

Micheal : There is stink in there. (심각한 냄새가 난다고) My God!

Micheal : What is- what is that?

Pam : Oh, I don't know.

Micheal : Is that a bird?

Pam : No, I don't think it's a bird.

Micheal : Oh, God, how could that happen? How could... Right in the middle of the carpet.

Kevin : What's going on ?

Micheal : Somebody vomited right in the middle of the carpet in my office.

Kevin : I don't think that's vomit.

Micheal : Check it out.

Kevin : Me?

Micheal : Check it out. Don't be a wuss. Just get, no, I'm not holding your coffee. (겁쟁이되지마 그냥 가 난 자네 커피잔 안들고 있을거야) Tell me what it is.

Kevin : Oh, that's a real bitch.

Micheal : What is it?

Kevin : Michael.

Micheal : What is it? No, just tell me what it is.

Kevin : Michael, I gotta get outta here! I can't hold my breath that long.

Pam : Open the door up.

---------------------------------------

Kevin : It smelled terrible.

Pam : Oh! Phew! Oh, no!

Micheal : I cannot believe a pipe burst and left that there.

Tobby : That's no burst pipe.

Micheal : Well, how do you know that? What is it then?

Creed : Hey guys! Somebody making soup?

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Here she comes. (청소부가 나오네요) All clean? Great.

Dwight : Too stinky. (냄새가 너무 심하네) That is worse. (더 심해) She probably scrubbed it into the fibers of the carpet.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Total permeation. (완전히 스며들었어요) I am a big fan of Fear Factor. I'm a big fan of anything Joe Rogan does, actually. (실은 Joe Rogan이 하는 프로그램은 뭐든지 좋아해요) So, this is sort of like my audition tape. (지금 이건 제 오디션 테이프 같은게 되죠) I can't stand it. I can't stand it in here another second.

---------------------------------------

Jim : Hey, welcome back.

Pam : Thanks.

Jim : So, how was the resort? Did you ski a lot?

Pam : A little.

Jim : Good. What's going on here?

---------------------------------------

Jim : What? I did not do that. That sounds disgusting. It wasn't me.

---------------------------------------

Ryan : It wasn't me. It was not me.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Hey, Jim! I thought that we would be desk buddies while they change my carpet.

Jim : That might be a little difficult with the one computer. (한 대의 컴퓨터로는 조금 힘들거에요) But there's definitely a desk open in the back.

Micheal  : Yeah..

Jim : Which I guess I'll be taking.

Micheal : No, seriously. I don't mind sharing.

Jim : No, no, no. Seriously. I'll be in the back.

---------------------------------------

Jim : Hey, Kelly.

Kelly : Are you moving back here?

Jim : Just for the day while Michael's at my desk.

Kelly : Because Tobby used to sit there. (Tobby가 거기 앉았었어) But then he had to move over there because of an allergy.

Jim : Allergy to...the desk?

Kelly : Weird.

---------------------------------------

Micheal  : Yeah, yeah, yeah. Ol' bullpen. (연습장소) The ol' bullpen. Don't hate me.

Dwight : Okay.

Micheal : This is great.

Dwight : Yeah.

Micheal : The pressures of my office are insane. (내 방의 압박은 비정상적이야) I just- you couldn't understand. (자넨 이해하지 못할거야) But you guys have it easy out here. (하지만 자네들은 편하겠군) You know, I used to sit right here?

Dwight : No way.

Micheal  : Yeah

Dwight : And who had your office?

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Ed Truck. Ed Truck was the manager before me. Horrible. He hated fun. It was like, Ed Truck is walking toward us. Stop having fun. (Ed Truck이 걸어온다, 농담을 멈춰라 같은 거였죠) Start pretending to do work. (일하는 척해라) What a jerk. (얼간이었죠) He's...You know what? I swore to myself, that if I ever got to walk around the room as manager, 제가 점장으로서 사무실을 돌아다닐때) people would laugh when they saw me coming. And would applaud as I walked away.

---------------------------------------

Kelly : I'm serious, my closet doors will not shut. I mean, it only takes so long to measure to make sure that clothes will hang up. (옷이 제대로 걸렸는지 확인하는데 너무 많은 시간이 걸린다고) Cause aren't all hangers like, that big? (옷을 거는 사람들이 다들 그렇게 키가 큰건 아니잖아) So I don't understand why the closet engineer didn't think of that. So now I'm doing this new thing, where I just leave piles of clothes on the floor. (그래서 난 새로운 방법을 시도해, 바닥에다가 그냥 옷을 쌓아두는거야) And I walk around the piles to get an outfit..

---------------------------------------

Micheal : You know who used to sit at that desk?

Dwight : That guy Miles who quit to form his own company?

Micheal : Todd Packer.

Dwight : No.

Micheal : Yeah.

Dwight : I thought he was out on the road.

Micheal : He was, but... That desk was empty. He'd come in and sit there sometimes.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : When I was in training, many years ago. (몇 년 전 제가 사원일때) Not so long ago. (그리 오래 전은 아니구요) I worked side by side with a fellow named Todd Packer. And together we rocked the office. (우린 함께 이 사무실을 뒤흔들었죠) Packer and I once spent a whole day with our pants off. (한번은 Packer랑 제가 바지를 벗고 하루종일 보낸 적도 있어요) And when people noticed, we convinced them that they were crazy.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.

Stanley : Excuse me one second please. (잠시만 기다려주세요) What is it that you need right now that can't wait, until I'm off the phone with a customer?

Micheal : A customer. Well, sound the alarm. Okay.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Another time, Packer held this guy's head in the toilet for like a minute. Guy had no sense of humor about it. Probably why he wasn't hired.

---------------------------------------

Creed : What did you hit me for?

Micheal : Oh, Charlie Horse.

Creed : What?

Micheal : Charlie Horse!

Creed : You shouldn't have hit me, Michael.

Micheal  : Okay!

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Once, as a joke Packer banged every chick in the office. (한때, 장난으로 Packer는 사무실 직원들을 아프게 치곤 했어요) It was hysterical.

---------------------------------------

Kelly : Beyonce, pink the color, Pink the person, hot dogs, Basically anything that is awesome.

Ryan : Hey, Jim. Michael wanted me to ask you

how to raise your desk chair.

Jim : It's the lever on the side.

Ryan : That's what I told him. Thanks.

Kelly : Oh, my God. He is so cute. Would you talk to him for me and see if he likes me?

Jim : No, I don't think I can.

Kelly : Please Jim. Please, please, Jim Please, please? He's so cute. I like him so much. And I would do it, but I'm too shy. Please, Jim ? Please, please. Please? Please, Jim, please? Please, please?

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Dwight.

Dwight : Michael.

Micheal : Let's set up accounting.

Dwight : What?

Micheal : Old-fashioned raid. Sales on accounting. Hey, guys.

Oscar : Hey, Michael.

Micheal : What's up?

Oscar : Hey, Dwight.

Micheal : Come on, come on! Sales rule!

Dwight : Yes!

Micheal : Yeah, yeah!

Dwight : Should we help them pick up their stuff ?

Micheal : No, no... We don't do that. We don't do that.

Micheal : Watch out Pam. You're next.

Pam : You're gonna throw my things on the ground?

Micheal : Maybe.

---------------------------------------

O : What happened in Michael's office is wrong. I understand it. It makes sense. But it's, but it was still wrong.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Why would somebody ruin a perfectly good carpet? I don't know. Could have been done out of hate. Could be done out of love (싫어해서 일수도 있고 너무 사랑해서 일수도 있죠) It could be completely neutral. (어느쪽도 아닐 수 있죠) Maybe somebody hates the cleaning lady. Well, she doesn't do a very good job, obviously. (분명 청소를 잘하지는 않아요) because my office still reeks like you would not believe. (믿지 못할 정도로 제방에서 아직까지 악취가 나니까요) I hate her. You know what? I am beginning to think, that what happened to my carpet was an act of terrorism against the office. (제 카펫에 일어난 일은 이 사무실에 대한 테러적인 행동이에요) Against the office. The only thing that makes sense.

---------------------------------------

Dwight : Hello, am I the 107th caller? Hello, Rock 107, am I the 107th caller? Hello, Rock 107, am I the 107th caller? I'm totally going to win us that box set.

Micheal : Stop. Stop it. Stop it. Don't. Don't.

Dwight : I need to make a sales call. Please.

Micheal : All right.

Dwight : Am I the 107th caller?

---------------------------------------

Pam : That is so soon.

Roy : We'll go back. We'll go back in a couple weeks, (2주 뒤에 올거야) baby.

Pam : Yeah, right.

Roy : Okay, maybe another month then Maybe for, like, Presidents' Day or something.

Pam : We can do a three day weekend.

Roy : And maybe when we get back, I can call in sick, and get a four day weekend. (그리고 돌아와서 아프다고 전화하면 4일 쉴 수 있어) And when I wake up, I feel fine. It's so weird.

Pam : And I just hate it. 'Cause I try to go to bed at, like, Are you kidding?

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Hi, guys.

Angela : We haven't finished getting things in order from your last visit. (방금 전 오신뒤로 아직 다 정리 못했다구요) / M : I'm just walking around.

Angela : Were you?

Micheal : Well, yeah.

Oscar : It's just that we're really swamped over here Michael.

Micheal : I'm not? Why would you say that? Because I'm having fun? You guys just are working for the weekend, aren't you? I'm working for the week. Sales team. 세일즈 팀이지) Listen to me. This is what we're gonna do. (우리가 할 건 이거야) I'm gonna up the ante a little bit literally. (말 그대로 돈을 걸겠어) Right here, I'm going to put a crisp $100 bill. (여기다가 빳빳한 100달러 지폐를 올려둘거야) The person with the most sales at the end of the day gets to keep the cash. Sound good? $83. Still a lot of money. And I'm going to... I'm going to leave it right over here. Where everybody can see it. I will be taking Jim's clients today, because he is not here. (난 오늘 Jim의 고객을 맡을거야) And out of sight, out of the contest. (여기 없으면 콘테스트 참가 못해) Let's see who winds up with the cash, shall we?

Phylis : You're going to compete against us?

Micheal : Oh, it is on, Phyllis ! It is so on!

Dwight : It is so on!

Micheal : God, this is gonna be fun.

Dwight : Michael is gonna wipe the floor with us.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : So you have 40 boxes going out. (그래서 상자 40개가 나가면) And I will deliver those personally in the Sebring. Very good. Nice doing business with you. (저희와 거래해주셔서 감사합니다) Thank you. Yes!! Yeah. Read it and weep. (읽고 슬퍼해) Look at that. Look at me Phyllis. Oh, what is that? That's my sale.

Darryl : What what's that? What you doing?

Micheal : Nothing.

Roy : I think he's dancing.

Micheal : No, just...

Darryl : That was definitely not dancing.

Micheal : You know what, guys? It's none of your concern. It was official business. So just...

Darryl : Paper business?

Micheal : Yeah, paper business. Is this done?

Roy : Nope.

Micheal : Extreme Home Makeover puts together a house in an hour. (Extreme Home Makeover1시간 안에 집을 지어) If you were on that crew, you'd be fired like that.

---------------------------------------

Pam : Somebody did something bad to Michael's carpet. Maybe that's all we need to know.

---------------------------------------

Creed : Who do you think did it?

Oscar : Are you kidding? I thought it was you.

Creed : Really? I thought you.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : This was no act of God. A person did this. A person who works in this office. Maybe all of them.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : You know what? Today is not a good day for a sales contest. We're-we're not doing this today.

Pam : That doesn't seem fair.

Micheal : You want to talk about fair? Does anyone need to smell my old carpet? You explain to me how that was fair. And I'll explain to you how this is fair. Plus, I just, I think that picking today was sort of taking advantage.

Dwight : But you're the one who picked today.

Micheal : I am a victim of a hate crime. Stanley knows what I'm talking about.

Stanley : That's not what a hate crime is.

Micheal : Well, I hated it, a lot, okay? I, you know what? If the guilty person would just come forward and take their punishment... (죄지은 사람이 앞으로 나와서 징계를 받는다면) We'd be done. (끝나는거야) Very well. Then you're all punished.

Pam : What's our punishment?

Micheal : You're all on time out. (우리 모두 멈추는거야) Just sit there quietly. (그냥 자리에 조용히 앉아있어) No~ no.

---------------------------------------

Jim : Hey. What's up?

Ryan : Nothing much.

Jim : Let me ask you something. It's actually a little awkward. (조금 이상할거야) What do you think of Kelly?

Ryan : I don't know. Depends if you like a little junk in... (작은 친구를 좋아하느냐에 달려있는거지) She's really cool.

Jim : Are you interested in her?

Ryan : Yeah, totally.

Jim : Really?

Ryan : Did she say something?

Jim : She said lots of things.

Ryan : Do you know if she's looking for a long-term thing? Or if she'd be cool just, hanging out?

Jim : I have no idea.

Ryan : Can you find out?

Jim : Yeah. Sure.

---------------------------------------

Kelly : Long-term, definitely. Fall in love, have babies, spend every second together. But don't tell him that, okay? Just tell him I'm, like, up for anything. (Ryan한테 그냥 난 뭐든지 좋다고 말해줘) I mean, I'm not a slut, but who knows.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Do you remember Ed Truck?

Creed : Sure, he hired me. How's he doing?

Micheal : How would I know?

Creed : I thought you might.

Micheal : My biggest fear is turning into him. (Ed Trunk

Creed : Michael, you should have much bigger fears than that.

Micheal : I wasn't talking literally, Creed. (난 말그대로 표현한게 아니야) Yeah, being buried alive would be worse. Why am I talking to you?

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Ed! Hi, thanks for meeting me. Must be kind of neat coming back.

Ed : Yeah. Shall we go upstairs?

Micheal : Well, honestly, Ed, I really don't want to be up there right now.

Ed : So, what's the problem with my pension?

Micheal : No, no, no. You're good. It was clerical. (사무적인 거였어요) You're good. Well, somebody did something in my office. And I now think that they did it on purpose and it was directed at me.

Ed : But what was done?

Micheal : I didn't get a good look at it. (보기 좋진 않았어요) But it smells horrible.

Ed : Yeah, somebody once did that in my office.

Micheal : Really?

Ed : Yeah.

Micheal : Well, that figures. (이해해요) So how did you deal with people not liking you?

Ed : You can't expect to be friends with everybody.

Micheal : sure I can.

Ed : No. They'll always think of you as a boss first.

Micheal : Not necessarily. (상관없어요) You can love a boss like you do a father.

Ed : I'm not sure that ever happens.

Micheal : Well, ok, different management styles.

Ed : Why can't your workers be your workers? Family be your family, your friends be your friends?

---------------------------------------

M Micheal : Last week, I would've given a kidney to anyone in this office. (지난주에 제 신장을 사무실의 누군가에게 줬을지도 몰라요) I would have reached right into my stomach and pulled it our for them. (배에서 바로 신장을 꺼내려고 했죠) But now, no. (하지만 지금은 아니에요) I don't have a relationship with these people that I thought I did. I hope they ask. (직원들이 장기에 대해 물어봐주길 바랬어요) So they can hear me say " : no." I only give my organs to my real friends.

Get yourself a monkey kidney.

---------------------------------------

Jim : Hey, Brenda, this is, Jim Halpert from the boat. And I got your number from the corporate directory. And, well, I'm assuming that you probably gave it to them, (당신이 폴더에 이름을 남겼다고 생각했어요) because you wanted me to ask you out, right? (제가 데이트 신청 하기를 바랬으니까요) So give me a call back. You can get my number from said directory, (답변 폴더) Or just check your email cause I just sent you one. Yikes. Give me a call back, I hope. I'll talk to you later. Bye.

Kelly : You just asked a girl out on the phone!

Jim : Yup.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : Yes.

Todd : Hello. Yes. I'm looking for a gay nerd named Michael Scott.

Micheal : Who is this? How did you get this number?

Todd : Your mom, you gay nerd.

Micheal : Oh my God. Packer. Packster! Wacky Pack. (엉뚱한 Pack) How you doing?

Todd : Hey, listen, did you get that package I left for you?

Micheal : No. Did anybody see a package here today? No, how big was it?

Todd : It was pretty big.

Micheal : Really?

Todd : Yeah.

Micheal : Did you see a big package? Where did you leave it?

Todd : Left it in the middle of your office.

Micheal : Really? Guys, did you see a big package in my office?

Roy : You mean the thing?

Micheal : Are you kidding me?

Todd : Special delivery.

Micheal : That was Packer! You are dead, you are dead, my friend. That is hila- Oh God! Of course it was you.

Todd : Sit on the throne, Michael.

Micheal : Yeah, yeah! Oh my God. It was Packer.

---------------------------------------

Micheal : It takes an advanced sense of humor. (높은 유머감각을 요구해요) I don't expect everybody to understand It was done out of love, just like I thought. It's, God, these people are so, these are good people (직원들 정말 정말 좋은 사람들이에요) We have fun. We just have fun. I'm just so sorry that I threw the thing out.

---------------------------------------

? : You have 7 unheard messages.

Pam : Hey, Jim, It's Pam. I keep looking up to say something to you, and then Michael's there. (너한테 말할게 있어서 찾았는데 Michael이 거기 있어) And it's horrible. Anyway, I'm bored. Come back. Hey, guess what. I moved my computer so I can't see Michael's head. I think I can have a career, as a very specific type of decorator. Sudoku. Level, moderate. Time, 18 minutes. Suck on that Halpert. (한번 해봐) I'll transfer you.

---------------------------------------

Pam : Dunder Mifflin this is Pam. Hold, please. Dunder Mifflin, this is. Okay, sorry. Michael was standing at my desk and I needed to be busy. Or who knows what would've happened. So thank you. What's that word we made up for when you have a thing stuck in your shoe? Anyway, I have a thing stuck in my shoe. I have a chance to sneak out of here early, And I'm not messing this up so I'll see you tomorrow. 이거 놓치기 싫어) Calling from my cell phone. I don't know if you guys figured out who did that to Michael's carpet yet. (누가 점장님 카펫에 그런 짓을 한 범인을 알아냈는지 모르겠어) But I have a theory that it involves an interdepartmental conspiracy. 그건 부서간의 음모같아) Everybody in the office. We need to talk.
